Information graphic series on topics ranging from the sociological research process to global prison populations, for W.W. Norton’s Sociology textbook “The Real World.”

We didn’t design the cover but this is what it looks like.

This is the diagram shown to explain the way our graphic language would combine flat pictograms with hand-drawn elements.

Chapter 2 was on sociological research methods

Chapter 3 was about the rise and fall of various communication technologies over the last few decades.

Chapter 4 used a cross section of a teenager’s bedroom to explain the agents of socialization.

Chapter 6 was an overview of global prison populations and a more detailed look at who goes to prison in the U.S. and why.

Chapter 8 looked at the racial and ethnic breakdown of the U.S. population.

Chapter 9 compared how much men and women get paid to do the same job. (with Erika Lee)
